We are honored to be part of the studio gallery program, which means we can offer you amazing licensed Warner Brothers animation art direct from the studio and their vaults via Clampett Studios (Run by Ruth Clampett, Bob Clampett's daughter. She also ran the WB studio stores in the malls in the 80's/90's!). And this piece, based on the characters from Looney Tunes is a knock-out!

Yosemite Sam pops out of a birthday cake to wish Bugs a Root’n-Toot’n 50th Birthday, in this limited edition cel from Friz Freleng. Each piece has a studio seal and is signed by Mr. Freleng. A limited edition cel is a recreation of an original production cel or a hand-tailored cel depicting a favorite character in a special scene. Mr. Freleng personally developed and drew the original master art for each of his limited editions. The cel image is hand-inked on an original master cel. Silkscreened ink lines are then created from the master for each of the limited edition pieces. In traditional animation style, the cels are turned over and hand-painted on the back using animation cel paint. The hand-painted background image is photographically reproduced to insure the best color and reproductive quality.

Friz Freleng was an American animator, cartoonist, director, producer and composer known for his work at Warner Brothers on the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He introduced and/or developed several of the studio's biggest stars, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety, Sylvester the cat, Yosemite Sam and Speedy Gonzalez. Freleng directed more cartoons than any other director in the studio (a total of 266), and is also the most honored of the Warner directors, having won five Academy Awards.

NOTE: We're an authorized WB/Clampett gallery. That means we are able to sell (direct) all the WB/Clampett licensed art. As are other galleries. Normally, they give us generic art to sell the pieces. Then, when one of the galleries sells a piece we just pull from stock (they're physically close to us) and the customer gets the next number available. For some reason, for this piece, they gave us a piece of art with the signatures and numbers on it. This is not the piece you'd get. But we can tell you what # you'd receive if you wish to contact us and ask.
