Art Info/Selling
Sell Your Art With Us
Generally, we recommend consignment with us rather than outright sale if you don’t have an immediate need for funds and are looking to get top dollar for your art. Here’s a few basic parameters about our consignment program, but feel free to reach out via email with any questions, or to give you an estimate on a purchase price.
Generally we’re looking for items with a per-item retail value of $300 and above. Or, large collections of items if the price point is below that. We are particularly interested in fine art and vintage Disney animation artwork, though there are many other genres and cartoons that are highly sought after as well, so again, feel free to email us! Note that all consignment items must be in our possession during the offering period and we are fully insured, so your artwork is safe with us. We will of course utilize a contract for your consignment.
Our consignment pay schedule is as follows (final commissions are calculated after taxes and other fees have been subtracted. Fees include shipping costs, handling costs, platform fees and any framing costs):
Artwork/Item with a final retail sale price of $549 and below will yield 40% to the consigner.
Artwork/Item with a final retail sale price of $550-$799, will yield 55% to the consigner.
Artwork/Item with a final retail sale price of $800-$1499, will yield 65% to the consigner.
Artwork/Item with a final retail sale price of $1,500-49,999 will yield 75% to the consigner.
Artwork/Item with a final retail sale price of $49.999+ will yield 80% to the consigner.

- An essay about shipping Flat, glassless Art (such as cels). It's a tad out of date, in that it was written over a decade ago when we purchased art on ebay. We rarely do that anymore but it also includes packing practices that we DO follow.
