WATERSHIP DOWN
1978 Original Production Animation Art Cel Drawing
FROM THE OPENING FABLE
based on the novel by Richard Adams
Complete with a Linda Jones seal and COA!
One of the wonderful things about "Watership Down" is that both the book and the movie retain the fables/creation stories told by the rabbits. This cel drawing is a rare one from the opening fable! Note the stain on the left side of the drawing.
The cel drawing measures 12.5" x 10.5" and comes complete with a Linda Jones seal and COA. The Charles Scott Gallery is a Linda Jones Enterprise Preferred Gallery, so your artwork is direct from the company started by Chuck and his daughter and will come with a LJE COA. NOTE: if it is after 12/2020, please contact us to make sure this is still available before purchase. Thanks!
"Watership Down" by Richard Adams was published in 1972. It was originally turned down by many of the big London publishers before a smaller press took it on. The movie was release in 1978 to general acclaim. It's a nice interpretation of a large novel - something often difficult to do.
