"Watership Down" by Richard Adams was published in 1972. It was originally turned down by many of the big London publishers before a smaller press took it on. The movie was release in 1978 to general acclaim. It's a nice interpretation of a large novel - something often difficult to do.

The cel measures 12.5" x 10.5" and comes complete with a Linda Jones seal and COA. The Charles Scott Gallery is a Linda Jones Enterprise Preferred Gallery, so your artwork is direct from the company started by Chuck and his daughter and will come with a LJE COA.

NOTE: Old Hazel in the ending scene was made up of several cels (a multi-cel setup) in order to animate him more fully.  And the studio appears to have lost cel over the years - the cel that had the "back" part of his body, as they released this entire sequence to us without that additional body cel.  We've attached a screen-capture of the scene from which this sequence is pulled and if you search the rest of the scene carefully you can find the moment this cel appears and matches the lines exactly, but is missing the back part of his body.  But...the best parts remain!
