Peter J. Alvarado Jr. is one of those numerous somewhat unknown heroes of the classic animation/cartoon era. His resume is simply astounding. Beginning with uncredited work on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, he went on to work for Warner Brothers with Chuck Jones (credited on many Pepe Le Pew and Coyote/Roadrunner cartoons) and then on to Depatie-Freleng to do Pink Panther cartoons. Then on to Hanna Barbera and Film Roman. Throughout his career he illustrated newspaper comics, including Mr. Magoo, Yogi, almost all the Disney strips. Finally, and most specific to this auction, he worked for one of the McKimsons at Western Publishing where he provided artwork for almost every Disney, Warner Brothers, Hanna-Barbera and Walter Lantz licensed comic title. INCLUDING THE RESCUERS DOWN UNDER.
