from Walt Disney's Aladdin: The Series, 1994-1995
from the first season episode, "I Never Mechanism I Didn't Like"

Aladdin is simply one of the greatest animated movies of all time. Certainly one of the most popular. It was Disney's 31st feature and was at the height of the Disney Renaissance. And two years after that came the American animated television show that this is from. Most of the voice talent returned for the television show, with the notable exception of Robin Williams who was replaced by Dan Castellaneta, who is of course most well known as the voice of Homer Simpson!

This is a VERY RARE hand-painted original production background from the "I Never Met a Mechanism I Didn't Like" episode of season two of the show. In 1993 Sotheby's held an auction of the movie backgrounds (since no cels were used for the movie) and some of those backgrounds went for $25,000 - to this day even the very simply ones go for thousands. This is a rare chance to own an Aladdin background that is very representative of the style for much less, because it is from the TV show!

The background is done on thick board. On the back is writing including "Milana Borkert" who worked on the backgrounds for the TV show - she is listed as such in IMDB. This is an amazing one because it is a background of the Palace!!  Measures approx. 10.5" x 13".  We've shown a few screen-captures of where it appears in the episode.

Comes with a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity.
