Original Ink Daily Comic Strip Art
George Wunder SIGNED 1971
New York News Inc.
Includes a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity
This is the ORIGINAL INK ART for the Daily Comic Strip, drawn and signed by George Wunder, used to produce the newspaper daily comic strip. Mr. Wunder's unbilled assistant on this sequence is longtime backup artist George Evans, late of the EC Comics studio. We have the extended scenario (12-27 through 12-31, 1971) for sale in which we fine the Dragon Lady, the feature's key antihero, infiltrating a greedy scam to steal ancient archaeological treasures. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Overall size (approx.): 7 1/4" x 23"
Each one has handling and edge wear, faint toning in the margins, text and image paste ups (some which are loose), pinholes, stains, corner bumps, and nicks along the edges on some. Some have notes and corrections in graphite, and some are missing correction strips.
Ships USPS Ground Advantage between cardboard.
