SLEEPING BEAUTY
Original Production Animation Cel
of PRINCE PHILLIP
from Walt Disney's 1959 Feature Film
Matted and Ready to Frame, with a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity
Animated cartoons and features used to be created by hand - each and every frame. And most of this artwork was simple meant to be used and thrown away - so much of it is quite rare - and all of it is unique! Buying animation art allows you to own a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Some were used in earlier stages of production and some can be seen on-screen!
One of Disney's absolute classics, Sleeping Beauty was the 16th feature. This is an amazing cel of Price Philip when he is being visited by Maleficent in her dungeon. It is the best one we've ever had from this scene.
Comes with a color print background. The mat measure approximately 20" x 16" with an aperture of approximately 12 1/8" x 8 1/8". The cel size is 16" x 12.5". The mat is old and has aging. Please excuse all the reflections in our picture - they are not flaws in the cel! We've shown a screen capture of when this cel appears in the movie.
Actually used in the making of the cartoon and great for collectors or to hang on your wall as nostalgic decoration!
