One of Disney's absolute classics, Sleeping Beauty was the 16th feature and introduces Briar Rose/Aurora! This is a cel setup featuring cels actually used on-camera in the production. What's wonderful is that this is actually a "Disney Art Corner" cel setup that was originally sold at the theme park - there was a store where they sold these now rare treasures. This one still has the original gold label on the back from the store and what we believe is the original matting. The matting was inexpensive. It is aged and worn. Mat measures approximately 9" x 12".
The cel is wavy, but the reflection you see in one of the views is greatly exaggerated because of our scanner. THERE ARE SEVERAL AREAS OF PAINT SEPARATION, including in her hair and her chest/torso, smaller blemishes elsewhere and an occasional light surface scratch. We've provided several pictures in different lighting to attempt to show all the blemishes. While the mat looks darker on the left in the first picture, it is actually even as in the second.
This cel shows up at around the 38:58 moment in the film, just after she learns she's betrothed. We've shown a screen capture of the moment.
Actually used in the making of the cartoon and great for collectors or to hang on your wall as nostalgic decoration!
