Cel setups of the entire family from the first season rarely come up on the market any more. This one is amazing. The family has just come from Mr. Burns company party (and Marge is drunk)!

Each of the character cels measure approximately 10.5" x 12.5". The hand-painted background cels (with the cars and trees) measure approximately 10.5" x 14.5" with back-paper that measures 11" x 14". NOTE: the background cels have a vertical fold. The character cels do not. We're having a bit of a problem showing the fold properly. - the 2 images of the backgrounds alone exaggerate the folds while the main photo doesn't show it enough. The final image - with the matting example shows it properly - but the matting is NOT included. The background cels have a few tiny jots of paint missing.

A little more about the "back paper." In the earliest shows they often used solid color non-painted backing paper (like the orange sheet in this one) behind other cel-based background elements - it has some production wear.

Actually used in the making of the cartoon and great for collectors or to hang on your wall as nostalgic decoration!
