"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip..." The opening lyrics to the theme song everyone knows! It's of course from Gilligan's Island which ran on TV from 1964-1967. And then, they made a cartoon of it! In 1974 the Filmation cartoon called, "New Adventures of Gilligan" began airing and it was a mirror image of the TV show - the voices were even mostly provided by the original cast!

And here is a STOCK background from the show! Stock means it was used again and again throughout the production. And what an iconic background! It is of one of the life preservers from the ill-fated U.S.S. Minnow that brought them to the island! It measures approximately 10.5" x 12.5" and is done in thick paint.
