CLAWS FOR ALARM
Production Layout Drawing

from the 1954 Looney Tunes Cartoon "Claws for Alarm" by Warner Brothers

Signed by Maurice Noble and From His Estate

Comes with a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity

This is from the amazing Maurice Noble (1911-2001). It was created for one of the Chuck Jones directed Looney Tunes Shorts. The second in a series of three Porky Pig and Sylvester "Freight" shorts. This one takes place in the "Dry Gulch Hotel." it's a gag where mice dress up in a ghost costume! The final scene did look significantly different (see screen cap), but this is clearly from the early stage of production of this short.

The piece is done on 2-hole animation paper and has yellow-toning from age.

We will mount this gorgeous piece of art in an acid-free, 4-ply paper mat that measures 11" x 14" - so you can just buy your own frame and hang it in your home gallery. We only use archival/acid-free materials in mounting your artwork. NOTE: in most cases we have not yet mounted the art in a mat, so if you wish to have us leave it unmounted let us know IMMEDIATELY when you make the purchase, as we will often mat it within minutes.
