This is extremely rare - it is what appears to be a hand-drawn, original animation production background key for "Koopa's Castle" from an episode of one the Mario Bros cartoons! A kind ebay'er told us this shows up and we've shown a screen-capture above from when it appears in the episode.

Background keys were done by the head background person - often to send overseas to be used to base the final background on. This is done on very thin paper and is smaller than a full background, as they commonly are. Measures approx. 8" x 8 5/8".

Actually used in the making of the cartoon and great for collectors or to hang on your wall as nostalgic decoration!
