It doesn't get more iconic than this! From The Simpsons, America's longest running sitcom, comes this stunning trio of pieces. Two hand-painted cel backgrounds and a background initial line drawing.

By now, most folks know that the intended first episode of The Simpsons was "Some Enchanted Evening." It was produced to be the first episode. But, later, they decided to air "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" first. What most folks don't know is that there was a pilot done of "Some Enchanted Evening" which was then mostly re-animated for the final airing.

The background with the "bacon" on the plates is from the first animation of the pilot! We've added a screen-capture of when it appears - and you can view it at the link below. The drawing and the other background appear to almost match the kitchen in the first aired episode, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire." We've also included a screen capture of that as well. Even better - all 3 pieces were signed by Gyorgyi Kovacs Peluce the color designer and background painter for the early seasons. She signed near the same place on all 3 in 2018.
