Original Production Animation Cel of DAFFY DUCK
from the 1965 Warner Brothers
FRIZ FRELENG DIRECTED cartoon "It's Nice to Have A Mouse Around the House"
Matted and comes with a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity
Older animation art from Warner Brothers is quite rare. Everything from a warehouse fire to washing and re-using cels to the notorious stories about the animators using cels on the ground to slide around on means they're just plain hard to come by.
Here we have a nice Daffy Duck cel from the 1965 Looney Tunes cartoon with Speedy Gonzales, "It's Nice to Have a Mouse Around the House." It's a standard 12-field cel with a slight waviness. It's in a very old mat which likely should be replaced. The mat measures 15 1/4" x 12 3/4". There is some paint separation at the point of the paint brush.
NOTE: please excuse our poor pictures. In fact you can see the reflection of an arm in the pictures - the cel itself has none of these things. We will replace these when the professional pictures are taken.
We've shown some screen-caps above of the moment the cel appears in the short as well as some of the opening credit information. We'll include a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity.
