This wonderful commercial aired in 2003 and can be seen at the link below. The animation was done by computers after the drawings were hand-done and then scanned.

Model sheets are used to keep the characters consistent across animators and to set colors. This one has is made of copy lined-characters, (the one on the far right is taped down to the sheet) on a sheet of animation paper then hand-colored and hand-notated.
