Each He-man background started with a very precise and intricate pencil drawing. After this they are copied onto paint board and the colors are then painted in - but this is where the lines come from. 

Even better, Filmation was very good about documenting episodes.  If you look on the drawing there is a number after "MU" and that number corresponds to the episode number.  Sometimes they are slightly off since the shuffled the air order compared to the production order, but still it should be fairly easy to find what episode this is from! Measures approximately 10.5" x 12.5".  Paper has a very mild perfume odor - may be faded by the time it is purchased.
