DAPRATO ORIGINAL ARTWORK DESIGN FOR STAINED GLASS WINDOW PANELS
Hand-Painted, 1950's
For, the St. Rose Priory, Dubuque IA - Dominican Fathers

Comes with a Charles Scott Gallery Letter of Authenticity

The Daprato Statuary Company was founded in 1860 in Chicago by four Italian immigrant brothers with John E. Rigali joing them in 1890. The company still exists today and is now known as Daprato Rigali Studios, with their work designing church spaces, statuary and stained-glass windows now spanning three centuries.

This is the original hand-painted design for what we believe to be a stained-glass window installed in the St Rose Priory in Dubuque, Iowa. The Priory was dedicated on June 4, 1956. The original label with the order details is on the back and the Daprato label is on the front. The back is aged and slightly soiled but the front has only minor blemishes to the mat and scuffs to the tape border. Black tape is around the outside border (as was done on all their designs) and the corners are bumped. The artwork in the four apertures is in excellent shape. Measures 13 ¾” x 13 ¼”.
