In 1935, Carl Barks saw an advertisement saying that Disney was looking for animators. He submitted his resume along with 4 drawings and the rest was history (including the creation of Donald Duck). The International Museum of Cartoon Art released sets of 2 4-color lithographs of the 2 drawings he submitted back in 1935 that were in the Silly Symphony style. This auction is for ONE of those and it is SIGNED, PERSONALLY by CARL BARKS!!

What's incredible about this lithograph is that it is an AP (Artisti's proof) version - of which there were only 15 sets EVER made. From the International Museum of Cartoon Art. Printing included 120 regular edition and 15 each of Artist Proof (AP) and Printers Proofs (PP). We'll include a Charles Scott Gallery COA as well as a color laser of the original COA that came with the set. Print measures approximately 14" x 10.5" (note the certificate has always listed the size on these incorrectly).
