Bruce Timm is the producer of all three animated Batman series, as well as the “Superman” series and “The Justice League.” To celebrate the Dark Knight’s 75th Anniversary three special Bruce Timm’s images were selected to be re-release as fine art giclee canvas prints - of which "Be A Clown" is one.

This art was inspired by “Be A Clown,” a hugely popular episode in the first season of the Batman: The Animated Series television show. In this scene Batman tracks his main nemesis, The Joker, to an abandoned fairground, where he confronts the cunning clown in a death-defying battle atop a runaway roller coaster. “Be a Clown” was originally released in 1993 as a hand-painted limited edition animation art cel and quickly sold out. As part of the 75th Anniversary of Batman’s creation an anniversary edition on canvas has been created.

The original art for “Be A Clown” was drawn and painted by the Warner Bros. Animation Studio, under direction by Bruce Timm. Each print is signed by Bruce Timm.

This is a Giclee on Canvas in a Limited Edition of 100. Size: 22" x 17".

NOTE:  There seems to be some confusion about this piece with regards to Sideshow.  We LOVE Sideshow, but they released a confusing email about this piece in the Spring - they seemed to imply that it was one of their exclusive pieces that they were just releasing.  This is not the case.  This piece was released years ago by Clampett/WB.  It comes unframed from us - Sideshow released it with a frame at $140 above the unframed price.  So this is the original UNFRAMED version.  Contact us with any questions.
