This one may be quite the find. We believe it is from the original 1960's series, as the lines and colors support that. In addition we received it with another cel from the 1960's series that we have verified. Most people don't realize that a few episodes were colored and used to create the 1964 movie, "The Brave in Space." It may be from "Earth Defense Army" or "Robot Rocket" or "The Last Day of Earth" as the only ones in color. 

It is definitely a spectacular cel setup. The red background is an entire painted cel as well. There is some of that "wet" look between the cels that they sometimes get when they're quite old. It doesn't show in the pictures but it is along the character's left side if the cels are pressed together.

The BEST part is - this cel came directly from the Wendell Washer estate. Wendell, like all career animators, had files of artwork they collected. This was one of the pieces he had for himself! Keep an eye on our site, as we have thousands of more pieces coming soon.

We will mount this gorgeous piece of art in an acid-free, 4-ply paper mat that measures 11" x 14" - so you can just buy your own frame and hang it in your home gallery. We only use archival/acid-free materials in mounting your artwork.
