This is of course the rarest Peanuts art there is - this hand-painted cel is almost over 60 years old! These are almost impossible to find and simply the most sought after cels from the Peanuts.  Maybe five come up for auction each year. And, even better - the provenance on this is incredible. There were a select number of cels given to high-level Coca-cola employees and partners as gifts in 1966, and this is one of them.

Lucy appears at about the 9:00 mark (depending on your version) along with other characters as she introduces Charlie Brown to them. The cel is in amazing condition - perhaps one of the best ones we've seen, as it appears to have been preserved in this matted presentation for decades. 

We have not opened the frame - it may be that the cel is trimmed, as some of the few Christmas cels we've seen come to market this year seem to be of similar size - but perhaps not. We'll leave it to the new owner to open it if they'd like.

The frame measures approximately 18" x 13 3/8", the cel aperture measures approximately 5 1/2" x 7". The letter aperture measures approximately 6 1/2" x 8 1/8".
