LOT OF 24
from the Hanna Barbera's 1977-1978 Cartoon!
From FAYE McDonald Collection
Comes with a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity.
This cartoon was a spoof of the Olympics and the ABC primetime series Battle of the Network Stars, which debuted one year earlier. It featured 45 Hanna-Barbera characters organized into teams (the Scooby Doobies, the Yogi Yahooeys, and the Really Rottens) which competed each week for gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Model sheets were handed out to animators to make sure that the characters/props/settings were consistent when multiple animators drew them for the show. These are PRODUCTION copies - actually used to make the cartoon! They may actually be the ONLY ones in existence, making them very collectible and possibly important from a historical standpoint.
Each sheet measures approximately 8.5" x 11". Some light yellowing from age, staple-holes and some folds, torn edges, etc.
From our Faye McDonald collection. We purchased a large lot of items with her name on it. Unfortunately we know little more than this. It looks likely that she was one of the many ink and paint folks who were often not as credited as the animators. It appears she worked for Filmation and Hanna-Barbera as well as other studios. If you have any additional information, please let us know! NOTE: this will be shipped via Ground Advantage to keep shipping low for you!
