This is EXTREMELY rare. We purchased a large archive of Simpsons production artwork many years ago and this was part of the archive. 

It is a hand-painted background cel of the Simpsons Living room. It was likely used VERY early - probably the first season. It is labeled as "Std Bg." meaning standard background and was also likely used more than once, or in more than one episode. And also says, "TV Room" "South" "Downstairs" "The Simpsons."

The cel measures approximately 10.5" x 12.5" with a painted image area of approximately 9 5/8" x 6 3/4". Painted area is offset from center of cel.
