Framed, with a Bag One Arts Letter of Authenticity

As part of the Beatles, John Lennon was more than one of the world's greatest rock musicians and song-writers. He was also a writer and an artist. This limited edition Serigraph is part of the series, "This Is My Story Both Humble and True" and was released by Bag One Arts (Yoko Ono's company) in 1986, over 30 years ago! It is a SELF-PORTRAIT of John Lennon composing a song! "John is composing at Yoko’s white 'baby grand piano' in the living room at the Dakota. The joy he feels from the creation of music is depicted by the notes issuing forth from the flowers."

The printing was done by hand for this series through the courtesy of Atelier GF, Toronto, Canada on Arches Aquarelle paper. Each print has been hand signed by Yoko Ono Lennon, and published exclusively by Bag One Arts. There are 25 Artist Proofs in each edition (the regular run was 300). This serigraph measures approximately 15" by 22 1/2". It has some minor waving in the paper. It has been very nicely framed to approximately 29" by 36".

It was of course approved and endorsed by the Estate of John Lennon and personally selected and authorized by Yoko Ono Lennon. Includes the original Letter of Authenticity from Bag One Arts, who is selling this for $6,500.

CONDITION: This serigraph is in Near Mint to Mint condition. The frame in Very Good Plus to Near Mint condition with minor corner and edge wear. Copyright notation is not on physical LOA.
